Students seeking asylum in the UK are not able to apply for funding from the Student Loans Company and are charged international student fees.  DMU offers eight full fee waivers for students unable to access funding.

Marks Family Charitable Foundation

Marks Family Charitable Foundation support a scholarship for students starting a postgraduate degree programme (Masters or Doctorate).

; applicants will need to demonstrate that they can cover their living costs whilst at university. 

Westheimer Health and Social Care Scholarship

The Westheimer Health and Social Care Scholarship has been created by the Schwab and Westheimer Trusts to help young asylum seekers pursue higher education in social care, medicine, nursing or related professions.

The scholarship supports up to three young people to study for a first degree or professional qualification in the field of healthcare through a scholarship ranging from £10-£20k a year. Please visit the  for more information about eligibility criteria and the application process.
